The Ubimob Digital Noticeboard acts as a focal point for the site displaying site-specific information, a news feed and local weather on a large screen wall mounted monitor. Noticeboard content is retrieved from the Ubimob Cloud Service over the Internet using the NB Player which displays it on the wall mounted monitor via HDMI.
Residents can also view the content remotely using their tablet or smartphone. Staff can generate bespoke content via a simple to use and secure web portal.
A Digital Noticeboard improves social inclusion in grouped living environments. This supports residents well being, encourages a greater sense of community and enhances the housing provider relationship
These are images that are rotated with a configurable delay between each slide. Up to 20 slides can be displayed - up to 10 that are site specific and up to 10 that are common to all an organisations noticeboards. Slides can be created individually or a set of slides can be produced using PowerPoint and uploaded to the noticeboard as a single file. Each slide can have an expiry date set so that they will be removed from the display when the expiry date is reached.
The content within this section is configured directly using the web portal. Up to 4 contact names & numbers can be displayed.
Weather information for the local postcode area is displayed on the noticeboard. This information is updated every hour
This section contains the latest new headlines sourced from the BBC. The headlines are updated every hour
The noticeboard also displays the date and time. At the top of the noticeboard display is a title section that can be directly edited from the web portal.
This is the Ubimob demo site and is typical of what would be presented on the wall mounted monitor.
Residents can scroll through slides and contact information on their mobile devices. The NB Viewer app is implemented as a 'web app'which is an app that you access and use through a web browser, meaning you don't need to download or install anything on your device to run it; essentially, it's an application that runs on the internet. This simplifies the process for end users as the app will run on practically any device e.g. Android, iOS, Windows etc.
Scanning the QR Code below with a smartphone or tablet will take you to the NV Viewer app configured to display the Ubimob demo noticeboard (Church View).
